Frequently Asked Questions

Does Trinity offer athletics?

Yes. Although not a Catholic school, Trinity School is a member of the Catholic Grade School Athletic Association. This provides students in grades 2 – 8 opportunities to play interscholastic volleyball, soccer, basketball, and track. New this year for middle school boys – 7th and 8th grade will be offered football at nearby McGuiness School. Many of our students play softball/baseball with local leagues.

Does Trinity School only accept children with learning differences?

Yes, that’s all we do.  Trinity serves students across a spectrum of learning differences.  Some of our students are learning to overcome dyslexia, dysgraphia, or dyscalculia or auditory and sensory processing.  Along this spectrum of learning styles, we’ve found that our students fall along a continuum of academic performance that’s not too different from any other school.  Whether college-bound, trade school-focused, or doubling down on life skills, what matters at Trinity School is equipping students with learning differences and giving them the tools to do their very best in the world.

Who does Trinity School serve?

Trinity School educates students with learning differences, each according to their specific needs, and we do it in a supportive and encouraging environment.  Trinity School is created to better serve children with learning differences that include dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ASD, and sensory processing issues.  The breadth of different learning accommodations Trinity School can provide is substantial.

What grades does Trinity School teach?

Is Trinity School a faith-based school?

Trinity School is a nondenominational, faith-based school. We welcome students of all faith traditions (or lack of faith traditions) who wish to learn in an environment whose culture is shaped by core Christian tenets.  Our faith compels us to welcome all students whose needs are met by the services we provide.

How does Trinity School serve students with learning differences?

Trinity School tailors social and academic programs for each student.  We employ the most thoughtful, proven research and intervention strategies, placing each student with the right instructor and individualized learning plan.  We monitor progress as students grow, tuning the individual approach to changing needs. Trinity’s multisensory curriculum and small class size help our students to reach their fullest academic and social potential.

Absolutely! Trinity School welcomes parents, grandparents, caretakers, and siblings to be part of the journey.  Family involvement is highly encouraged.  Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) fosters broad family involvement.  It takes more than just bake sales!

Why did Trinity relocate to Edgemere Park?

Trinity School moved to its new location in Edgemere Park for several reasons.  The historic building, newly renovated for Trinity, allows us to expand our services and to reach more students with those services, all while maintaining a small class size.  Small class size is a critical component of our service to students with learning differences who respond better with fewer distractions.

What does it cost to attend Trinity School?

One year of K5 base tuition at Trinity is $12,850.  Grades 6 through 12 base tuition is $14,250.  As a non-profit organization, our goal is to keep Trinity affordable for all of our families.  Scholarships and financial aid for qualifying families, and fundraising for our Annual Fund, are active expressions of this desire.  Families must apply for tuition assistance on an annual basis, and resources are awarded from a fixed pool.

Is Financial Aid available to attend Trinity School?

Yes.  Many of our students that are transferring from the Public School Systems will qualify for the Lindsey Nicole Henry (LNH) Scholarship Program.  To learn more, visit here.   If your student does not qualify for LNH Scholarship funds, they may be eligible for Financial Aid administered through Trinity School.
